Barbara Pravi

Barbara Piévic , better known as Barbara Pravi  was born in the French capital Paris from a family of artists and musicians. Her paternal grandfather was of Serbian descent, her mother has Iranian roots. Barbara adopted the stage name Pravi as a reference to the Serbian word prava , which means authentic.

Barbara Pravi was first offered a record deal in 2014. In 2016 she sang for the German-Swiss film Heidi the French version of the film in song, On m’appelle Heidi . Later that year she played the role of Solange Duhmale in the musical comedy Un été 44. Her first single, entitled Pas grandir, was released in 2017. Two years later she wrote Bim bam toi, the French contribution to the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2019. Carla Lazzari managed to finish fifth. A year later she wrote J’imagine, with which Valentina Tronel the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2020 won. At the beginning of 2021, she herself took part in the French pre-selection for the Eurovision Song Contest. With the song Voilà she won, which allowed her to represent France in the Eurovision Song Contest 2021, where she came second, after Italy.

REVIENS POUR L’HIVER
Reviens pour l’hiver, Barbara Pravi’s new EP is shaped like an intimate travel diary, burning with love, stitched together with precious words and salty tears.

Each song, composed on his small upright piano, is a flight suspended above the earth. We hold our breath the whole time.

Barbara’s voice oscillates between tender cracks and great dizziness. His pen is both precise and romantic. You can listen to this short album with windows and portholes closed, heart open, with a little rain on the windows. Barbara Pravi whispered to us her love for the Song with elegance, through an overwhelming exposure.
